The Con of Wrath

In 1982, just two weeks after the release of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, a group of Houston fans attempted to stage one of the most ambitious Star Trek events in history. It was to include a live talk show, a one-act play, a laser light show with a full live orchestra, a jazz set from Nichelle Nichols, and everything performed on a rotating stage in a 16,000 seat basketball arena. Unfortunately, the event billed as the Ultimate Fantasy quickly melted down to become one of the most notorious fan events in Trek fandom history, and it was only through the combined spirit of the fans, the convention committee, and the Star Trek stars themselves to save the this once in a lifetime event. The Con of Wrath chronicles the travails of organizers and attendees in this amazing documentary from noted Star Trek historian Larry Nemecek. Produced in partnership with MyStar Media. Featuring never before seen interviews with George Takei, Nichelle Nichols, Walter Koenig, Harve Bennett, and Wende Doohan.

The Case of Evil

When a down-on-his-luck blues musicians travels to the country to buy a guitar he suspects was stolen from him many years earlier, he finds that its hoodoo-practicing owner is reluctant to hand over the instrument, and she's got something more on her agenda than a simple sale.

This noir short pays tribute to the classic horror films of Universal Pictures, and was highly praised for its authentic look and feel. Filmed entirely on location at the historic Weldon-Glasson house in Logan Heights, California, The Case of Evil debuted at the San Diego Horrible Imaginings Film Festival in late 2014. It subsequently went on to tour 39 film festivals across the United States, Canada, and the U.K., and racked up six awards including best horror picture and best actor for star Merrick McCartha. It was further nominated for best screenplay at the Barebones Film Festival and the 2015 San Diego Film Awards.

Originally presented as a multimedia interlude within Look, I'll Prove It -- her 2014 San Diego International Fringe Festival stage show -- April's Big Day is a quirky, heartwarming, and often surreal stream-of-consciousness peek at how April sees her life as a single, struggling comic.
